Craig Ellis Leckie

Hi Steve, many thanks for this great snapshot of my youth.

I worked part-time in Makin Tracks at the top of Castle Arcade, and then full-time at Castle Place, and with this beautifully described post about that night in 87, youve taken me right back to Castle Place when I was a 19 year old Rap fan with NO interest in U2. I clearly recall eating pizza with Pauly McGuiness and the sales rep for Island during the midnight opening for the LP. As well as a few other things haha.

BTW. On a sidenote, was the Nicola you mentioned, the Nicola that worked at the shop? That went on to own a hairdressers ?

Regardless, listen, I have a couple of wee behind the scenes tales about that night [and one specific member of the band] for ya if youd like to get in touch.

Dont hesitate to contact me at craig.leckie@gmail.com

All the best fella, and thanks again
