Isn't it interesting that even Aristotle highlights the primacy of experience over idea. It's sort of tangential, but maybe quite on target to consider that 'Love' must be experienced while the idea of it must be considered. The Word did have to become flesh so we can experience love in the substance of our being - in the substance of you and in the substance of me.
