On this journey of life, that we come to perceive as more of a journey the older we become, we all need that “unconditional love” that Young might be looking for in a wife or a companion. Christianity gives the most powerful and poetic image of this unconditional love in the concept of “grace” found at its core; God loves us as we are. Jesus artistic story of the Prodigal Son reveals the unconditional love of God well. The old popular hymn Amazing Grace sets this unconditional love beautifully into the journeying metaphor –
