It's certainly a fantastic album, worth lots of Sunday afternoon replays... Fascinating to reflect on how someone young with such a troubled life journey up to this point would work it out in such beautifully uplifting writing.

Check out Country Road on that album "Sail on home to Jesus wont you good girls and boys. Im all in pieces you can have your own choice" - check the lyrics from there on.....see what you get from that and Al Kooper does a great version of that song too on his "Easy Does It" album. James often threw references into his work such as on "Dixie Highway" - check that song for Southern Gospel like cool. Lovely piece above well done.
