Just after finding ur link.. I generally never feel the need to leave comment on peoples blogs or whatever on this occasion I thought I would.. “remember the first time” was a special occasion, an occasion that will remain in my thoughts for some time.. memories of being front row with two good friends listening to best of Northern Irish music past and present…
many things grabbed my thoughts and attention that night…

The knights.. Foy.. Duke.. The Kings.. Iain Archer.. Fighting with Wire.. Cashier No9.. and the best un-kept secret in Belfast of Gary Lightbody’s appearance..

It was a great night, a night that our country needed.. due to the mindless killings of soldiers and policemen.. terrorists had shaken Belfast, made us remember darker days, with regards to your comments about perhaps of lack of rants, or a lack of united front, I believe we stood united with a hope, a vision and on front of us the talent that is in abundance in our beautiful little country… why should the terrorists take the headlines on such a night, a rant or outburst would have given them the publicity they had wanted.. remember the first time was about a new Belfast, a Belfast full of hope, a Belfast full of excitement and a Belfast full of Gods love..

World renowned journalist Stuart Baillie had waxed lyrical to me about these boys just a couple of weeks before and he introduced them with his belief that they have the style and swagger and strut to go the whole way.
